I have been reading the many post today and it reminded me of my experience of time in India. There was none. I new when it was morning by the sun and I knew when it was night by dark anything else was completely forengin to me. Very simple. I just had know place in my being for it. Many times before a teaching is given the date and year is expressed and it always fascinated me that Rinpoche had know idea what day of the week or the date was. Well you could say I was in a different country with so many new and different experiences and that is all true. But for myself it was letting this not knowing, what place in time I was in, expect where was the pilgrimage leading today. It was like losing myself but in a good way, losing myself just in the moment. What this pilgrimage gave me was permission to let all the care taking and responsibility go and as said by my Native American teachers " placed myself in the path of spirit" or in this case the path of the Buddha. Now I am aware what day it is mainly by the rhythms of the house but I most say I liked living in no time but the moment.
